Scale of destruction on storm-hit Crete emerging as floodwaters recede

As floodwaters begin to recede, the scale of destruction from severe weather that has battered southern Greece, particularly Crete, since Wednesday is becoming clearer, with widespread damage to infrastructure, crops and livestock and inspections and damage assessments getting underway across the island.
