Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis used his weekly Sunday recap post to deliver a pointed message on Greece-Turkey relations, saying the two countries are "condemned by geography to live next to each other" and that dialogue must continue, but without any concessions on Greek positions. Mitsotakis was writing from the perspective of his trip to New York and San Francisco, where he attended the 81st UN General Assembly. He told his followers that Greece's core message at the UN was simple: insistence on International Law, multilateralism, and dialogue with all parties. Greece, he said, wants to be a "bridge, not part of the problem." On Turkey specifically, Mitsotakis said open communication channels are necessary, but drew a firm line. Substantive dialogue, he wrote, cannot coexist with unilateral actions that violate international law. He repeated before the UN General Assembly that International Law is the only legitimate framework for resolving disputes between the two countries. The prime minister also disclosed that in New York he met with more than 30 institutional investors with exposure to Greece and major Greek companies, whose combined assets under management exceed $4.5 trillion. He reaffirmed that fiscal discipline and debt reduction remain government priorities. Mitsotakis devoted a significant portion of his post to artificial intelligence, calling it the defining challenge of the era. He drew a parallel to nuclear energy, arguing that AI requires international governance frameworks and oversight rather than self-regulation. He said Greece's goal is to harness AI across the economy, public administration, health, and productivity, without allowing it to develop without limits or accountability.
