Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in El Alamein, Egypt today for a one-on-one meeting with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, followed by a trilateral summit with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides. The bilateral meeting between Mitsotakis and Sisi was scheduled for 12:00 local time, with the informal three-way summit between all three leaders set for 13:30. A joint press conference was expected at 14:30. The visit comes at a critical moment for the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, with Athens and Cairo working to deepen their strategic partnership. Energy cooperation is high on the agenda, with Egypt placing particular emphasis on its strategic relationship with Greece.
