The Mediterranean, a sea with no water

There is no getting around the fact that millions of people worldwide face severe water shortages, all too frequently turning a basic necessity into a luxury item. As tempting as it may be to view this as a distant problem affecting the nameless others, here in the Mediterranean we could all do with taking a good look at our own corner of the globe.
