Medical association says it cannot monitor clinics’ day-to-day operation

Inspection committees of the Athens Medical Association (ISA) have no prosecutorial or auditing powers to monitor the day-to-day operation of medical practices, the doctors’ association has said, in a statement issued in the context of the death of singer Giorgos Mazonakis during an unlicensed medical procedure.
