Greece has deployed two CL-415 Canadair water-bombing aircraft to help fight the massive wildfires currently burning across Spain. The planes took off from Torrejón military airbase and are operating over the Burgohondo area, roughly 115 kilometers west of Madrid. Greece sent the aircraft through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism, a coordinated system that allows member states to share emergency resources during major disasters. Footage captured the two planes conducting water drops over the affected region as Spanish firefighting forces work to bring the blazes under control. Both aircraft are expected to continue water-dropping operations over Burgohondo throughout the day, providing direct aerial support alongside Spanish ground crews battling the fires. #Greece #Spain #Wildfires
