Madonna just wrapped up a Greek vacation that clearly left a mark on her. The pop star spent time across Corfu, Patmos, and the Meteora monasteries with her partner Akim Morris, and the posts she shared afterward were anything but typical celebrity holiday snaps. On Patmos, Madonna visited the Cave of the Apocalypse and the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian. She posted photos from both sites and wrote about feeling a genuine spiritual connection to the island. "Prayers from Patmos! What a magical island. I truly felt the presence of God there," she wrote. The trip also had a deeply personal dimension. Madonna traveled to Patmos with her son Rocco Ritchie, and she connected the moment to her very first visit to Greece, decades earlier, when she was seven months pregnant with him. She described returning there with him now, as an adult, as a moment that "closes the circle." She added that it "does the soul good." Morris, meanwhile, posted his own photo album from their travels. He captioned it with "se agapo," the Greek phrase for "I love you," and set the whole thing to the music of Mikis Theodorakis's Zorba, from the 1964 film.
